Currently Loving (and living)
part 1
A soft space for what’s grounding me lately
Lately, I’ve been craving a slower rhythm.
Less noise. Less pressure to “optimize” every moment.
More noticing.
More gratitude.
More presence in the small things that quietly hold everything together.
This is a space where I share what’s been supporting me lately—
not just things to buy, but things to return to.
This Week’s Edit
1. Something I’m Practicing
Sitting on the floor with my girls instead of “watching from above.”
Not rushing in to direct the play.
Not correcting. Not optimizing.
Just… being there.
It reminds me that connection doesn’t need to be structured to be meaningful.
2. Something That’s Making Life Easier
A “reset basket” in the living room.
At the end of the day, everything goes into one basket.
No pressure to organize perfectly.
Just a gentle reset for tomorrow.
3. What We’re Playing (Screen-Free)
A simple “invitation to play” has been our go-to lately.
This week, it looked like:
a sensory setup on the table
a play-dough kit
and time to just explore
We recently got this Young, Wild & Friedman play gardening theme dough sensory kit and it’s been such a hit with the girls.
They’ve been:
“planting” little pieces
digging, scooping, and creating their own tiny garden world
fully immersed in play without needing any direction from me
And I love that it’s one of those activities that feels calm… not chaotic.
No screens.
No overstimulation.
Just creativity and quiet focus.
It kept them engaged for 40 minutes.
No prep. No pressure. Just curiosity.
4. Something I’m Letting Go Of
The idea that I need to do everything perfectly to be a good mom.
5. A Couple of Things I Genuinely Love
These aren’t big life changes.
They’re small shifts.
Small supports.
Small moments.
But lately, I’m realizing…
this is where the magic actually is.
